I'm interested in making new friends around the US and world. I request that any responses be honest and respectful, otherwise I'm just looking forward to meeting people. I'm hoping to begin to re-adjust to being "out there" by making friends who know my situation from the start. I'm not against a real relationship if that happens, but that's not my main interest.

Interests: I look forward to traveling when I get out. Particularly the mountain areas of the northern midwest United States, maybe even Alaska and Canada. I'd like to visit Australia, Britain, Ireland and Euro-Asian countries, Scandinavia, Iceland. I'd like to spend some time checking out Russia, Poland, Ukraine, underrated places like that. That's my dream.

I have "some" talent drawing and painting. I'm thinking of maybe getting involved in tattooing and piercing... (the generic "ex-con" industry.) Ha ha. I was a chemistry major at a 4-year university before I was incarcerated and although I'm not interested in pursuing that avenue anymore, I know the value of education and job training. My personal interests are also varied and wide ranging. Since 2006, I've gained an associate degree in business administration, an accounting diploma, a culinary arts certification (so I can cook)   and a horticulture/landscaping certification (I can grow the food too, ha ha). I have also taken a telecommunications/copper-based wiring systems course. I'm trying to gain enough job skills to be able to find interesting and gainful employment when I get out.

Hobbies - Well, I crochet and knit. I can hand knit cable sweaters among other things. I also draw and design as well as make personalized blankets (crochet or knit). If I were home... I like the out doors - horses, big dogs. I want to learn to mountain climb, and snow ski. The only sport I care to watch is boxing or any type of two opponent fights. I despise wrestling (WWE) and all that fake soap opera stuff. The only sport I ever participated in seriously was surfing but I'd like to try boxing and I now love to run.

Likes/Dislikes: I have piercings, brands and tattoos. I like alternative music, the Paper Tongues is one of my favorite bands. My all-time fave bands are U2 and the Doors. I do like some of the new country. Eminem and Adele are as pop or rap as I care for. Smashing Pumpkins, White Strips, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Green Day are what I grew up on. Classical is always a good calming tool and the blues make anyone cool

I'm a blue jeans, hippie shirt, combat boots (or sandals) kind of woman. I'm independent, tough, fun-loving and goodhearted but not a fool. Anything else I will tell at request.
